-- "Finally, in May 2005, the SmartEiffel project annonced that it was going to continue to work on the true Eiffel language. In reality, the langage described by the ECMA TC39-TG4 working group clearly diverges from what is conventionally called Eiffel. ECMA-Eiffel is a very different langage, and above all, not yet experimented."
Can you be more explicit? Do you mean SmartEiffel will never implement ECMA TC39-TG4? Then is Eiffel still public domain, considering one commercial company implements ECMA TC39-TG4 and the open-source project SmartEiffel implements something close but different? [Damien Guichard (http://perso.wanadoo.fr/alphablock/)]
Yes: never. ECMA implements something close but different from Eiffel as we knew it. We refuse that. --Cyril 09:59, 16 Jul 2005 (CEST)
-- Now that's what i call a fast and explicit answer! I see no reason to bother you with more questions. This Wiki is a great addition and i hope it will help to cumulate the collabrative work of Eiffelists in a friendly and efficient manner. Thanks Cyril, happy Eiffel programming [Damien Guichard (http://perso.wanadoo.fr/alphablock/)]
